An honest review of The Lind Boracay – the first and only hotel on Boracay Island recognised in the MICHELIN Guide 2025.
Just 45 minutes from Manila, I arrived at Caticlan Airport for my summer holiday in Boracay. Thanks to its small size, my luggage didn't take long to arrive either. Stepping out, I quickly spotted the hotel shuttle waiting for me, which brought me to a private port. A short boat ride later, I landed on Boracay Island at Station 3, before another 30-minute drive up to The Lind Boracay in Station 1.

A pleasant check-in experience

The Lind Boracay team welcomed me warmly and settled me into my room within minutes. Upon entering, I spotted a handwritten welcome note from the General Manager, which was a lovely personal touch. I was given a pair of slippers, along with some cool freebies placed on the bed – a cap, t-shirt, and tote bag, all handy for a walk along the white sand beach. There were also pastries prepared for me, and to my surprise, some even had my face printed on them!

Shortly after settling in, an afternoon tea delivery arrived. I expected something light, but it turned out to be a rather generous spread of additional pastries. Needless to say, they were delicious, but I wish I had someone to share these with! Not even half a day had passed, but the hotel was already making a wonderfully strong impression.
My room with a coastal vista

Look at that beautiful view! Photo: Lord Acuña
The Sea Room where I stayed features a king-sized bed and day bed, along with a large work table – perfect for me since I'm rarely without my laptop (yes, even on vacation!). Being on an upper floor, the balcony opens up to a stunning coastal view. Standing here, I was reminded just how unmatched Philippine beaches truly are. Back inside, the lavatory is spacious and well-lit, complete with eco-friendly packaged amenities and toiletries from Malin+Goetz.
After a little bit of partying in Station 2, a quick shower, and blow-drying my hair, I finally hit my huge and comfortable bed. As I was travelling alone, I got to utilise the full space and all the pillows. Tucked under the soft blanket in this perfectly air-conditioned bedroom, I absolutely had a good night's sleep.
Relax at the infinity pool
The next day, I woke up early to check out the infinity pool. The ground pools looked amazing, but this one on the lobby level was the clear standout. I was lucky enough to have it all to myself around 7 in the morning. The serenity while basking in the early sun was a highlight for me. And it's not just for swimming; its breathtaking view makes it a popular event space as well.

Get pampered at the spa

Time for rejuvenation at The Spa Wellness. Photo: Lord Acuña
The Lind Boracay's partnership with the country's leading wellness brand, The Spa Wellness, brings exceptional massages and therapies right to this tropical setting. After a long day of activities, it's one of the best ways to wind down. You can book a session in the privacy of your own room or by the poolside, if you'd rather receive a massage outside the spa facility. I had a Swedish massage so relaxing I fell asleep during the session. And to cap the night off, a warm cup of their signature ginger tea was the perfect finish.
Verdict: The Lind Boracay delivered
The Lind Boracay offers more than its sleek, contemporary aesthetic. They were consistent with their impressive level of service from start to finish. The attention to detail and personal touches truly added value to my stay. Every staff member was friendly and always ready to help, showcasing genuine Filipino hospitality the whole time. Would I recommend this hotel? A hundred percent!
