Here's an honest review of our stay at Henann Resort Alona Beach when we visited Bohol, Philippines.

Airport Pickup and Check-in
Travelling to Bohol as a group of eight, our flight from Manila took only about an hour and a half. After landing at Bohol–Panglao International Airport, dubbed the Philippines' first eco-airport, we collected our luggage in no time. Because we were a large group, we arranged for a hotel van to pick us up and drive us straight to Henann Resort Alona Beach.

Just 10 minutes later, we arrived at the hotel and were served welcome drinks. The grand lobby immediately made a strong first impression and got me even more excited for our stay. After a quick check-in, the staff escorted us to our respective rooms on the upper floor.
My Deluxe Room
While I travelled with a big group, I had my own Deluxe Room. It was spacious and came with two queen-size beds, despite me having the room to myself. The beds featured soft linens and plush pillows that made for a good night's sleep. The room also came with a private balcony, and opening its door filled the room with natural light during the day. Completing the room is a lovely marble-clad bathroom with a separate shower and premium Henann toiletries.
The extra bed came in surprisingly handy, giving me plenty of space for my frequently used items, including my chargers and clothes. I also appreciated having a proper table where I could comfortably work on my laptop whenever needed. Altogether, the room had everything I needed for an enjoyable stay.
Gym & Fitness Center
Quick gym session before dinner!
Even on holiday, I like to stay on top of my fitness. After settling into the resort and resting for a few hours, I squeezed in a quick workout at its fitness centre. Open daily from 06:00 to 21:00, it features a good selection of modern equipment, allowing me to keep up with my routine while away from home.
Buffet Breakfast

Our hotel booking included a buffet breakfast at Coral Café, served daily from 06:00 to 10:00. Located above the grand lobby, the restaurant features a coastal turquoise design and overlooks the resort's beautifully landscaped gardens and massive swimming pool. The buffet offered a good variety of international dishes alongside Filipino favourites, making it easy to grab a satisfying meal before heading out. As I had early tours every morning during my stay, I didn't have much time to linger over breakfast, but I still enjoyed it.
Swimming Pools

Henann Resort Alona Beach boasts the most swimming pools on Panglao Island, with three crystalline pools to choose from. Each one has its own swim-up bar, offering a more enjoyable poolside experience. As my days were mostly spent outside the resort, I didn't get the chance to try any of the pools. Even so, simply walking past them after returning from the beach made the resort feel even more luxurious.
Verdict
My Deluxe Room was comfortable, and the bathroom was a standout, but I would love to stay in the Junior Suite or one of the Villas next time. Although I spent four days at the resort, much of my itinerary was dedicated to sightseeing. If I come back, I'd happily set aside more time to fully enjoy its amenities.
Henann Resort Alona Beach delivered, thanks to its convenient location, which made it ideal both for airport transfers and as a base for exploring Bohol. Combined with its facilities and overall atmosphere, it all felt worth it. Would I recommend staying at this resort? The answer is a big yes!
