For the music lovers: check out White Label – the newest vinyl store in town

White Label, located at Ann Siang House, is a record store, a bar and more that is all about music and people.

Before the official launch of White Label on September 28, we were invited to an exclusive look inside the newest vinyl store in Singapore! Located at Ann Siang House, Darren Tan and Kurt Loy have launched their physical store White Label following the social media success of #vinyloftheday which they established in 2013.

“We’re all about music and people. With our roots in #vinyloftheday and Singapore Community Radio, we have always believed in fostering and contributing to our growing community of music curators, lovers and creators.”

White Label has a considerable amount of selection from different genres and eras. Asked if they have contemporary ones as well, Darren says “We leave that to other stores, ours is more curated.”

But White Label is more than a record store. Their space is also for gigs, workshops, screenings and talks as they strive to connect the music community, bringing them together and providing them with the resources, knowledge and opportunities to create, curate and perform.

Bar and Restaurant

Now onto the gastronomic side! We were served with their signature drinks – Vodka Fresh Fruit Mojito in blueberry and orange variations, Chrysanthemum Martini and White Label Iced Tea, and some really hearty meals that are served at limited times. All you can enjoy at reasonable prices. They also have a cool installation at the bar where guests can play hundreds, if not thousands, of arcade games!
