How much is the New Zealand visitor e-Visa?

As of 2026, the visa fee is NZD 441. This already includes the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) worth NZD 100. The fee is non-refundable, even if your application is rejected.

How long does it take to get the result?

I applied on a Friday and, to my surprise, received the approval the following Monday. So it probably could be as fast as one working day, provided you have uploaded all the required documents.

How long is the validity of the visa?

The visitor e-Visa granted to me was valid for one year. The exact validity may depend on factors such as the validity of your passport, and E-Pass or S-Pass.

I hope you found this guide helpful. Best of luck with your New Zealand visitor e-Visa application!
