My Zenyum Clear Aligners Experience: Let’s Get It Straight

Here's my honest 9-month experience using Zenyum clear aligners in Singapore: the process, cost, comfort, and result.

One of my biggest insecurities has always been my teeth, especially the two front ones, which noticeably protruded. Like many people, I’ve always wanted a picture-perfect smile, so I tried traditional metal braces in the Philippines years ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to complete the treatment, and over time, my teeth shifted back out of place. Eventually, I decided it was time to do something about it – properly.

Why I Didn’t Want Traditional Metal Braces Again

For me, the experience with traditional metal braces was consistently uncomfortable. Brackets would come loose while I ate, wires poked my gums and caused mouth ulcers, and the discomfort after adjustments was hard to deal with. On top of that, the long treatment timeline and high overall cost made it even more challenging. Altogether, the discomfort and inconvenience pushed me to look for alternatives.

Why I Chose Zenyum Clear Aligners in Singapore

Several years later, I decided to try Zenyum clear aligners in Singapore. What appealed to me most was their affordability compared to other premium invisible braces brands. Timing also played a role – this was during the pandemic, when mask-wearing was the norm, making it a discreet time to straighten my teeth.

What I like about clear aligners is that they’re removable, which makes it easier to eat and brush your teeth. They’re also much more comfortable, with significantly less pain than traditional braces. And because the invisible braces are clear, thin, and low-profile, they don’t make your mouth look more protruded, and most people barely notice that you’re wearing them.

The Zenyum Clear Aligners Process: Step by Step

If you’re ready to start your journey to a straighter smile, here’s a simple step-by-step guide to help you through the process, from your first assessment to collecting your invisible braces.

1. Online Smile Assessment
Start with a free smile assessment. The Zenyum team will review it and get back to you within a few working days.

2. Clinic Visit and 3D Scan
Visit one of Zenyum’s partner dental clinics for a 3D scan. This helps determine the complexity of your case and ensures a precise treatment plan.

3. Treatment Plan Review
About a month later, you’ll receive a digital treatment plan showing how your teeth will move over time. Once you approve it and make the payment, Zenyum will begin producing your clear aligners.

4. Aligner Production and Collection
Production typically takes around a month. Once your clear aligners are ready, you’ll need to return to the clinic to collect them. In my case, the dentist also performed some minor filing on my teeth to create space for movement.

How Much Do Zenyum Clear Aligners Cost in Singapore?

Compared to traditional braces, Zenyum clear aligners are more affordable, with prices starting from SGD 2,790. They also offer interest-free instalments via Atome and SPayLater. Cost was a major factor for me, so having this payment flexibility felt much easier on the wallet.

3D Scan: Around SGD 150 – 190
This depends on the clinic and will be paid directly to them.

ZenyumClear™: SGD 2,790
Mild to moderate cases; Does not fix back teeth; Minimal or no attachments; No extractions required

ZenyumClear™ Plus: SGD 4,490
Mild to moderate cases; Involves the movement of some back teeth; Attachments on multiple teeth; Extractions if necessary

ZenyumClear™ Extra: SGD 4,990
Mild to moderate cases; Involves the movement of all teeth; Attachments on most teeth; Extractions if necessary

Retainers: Around SGD 300
It is highly recommended to get retainers post-treatment to keep your teeth in place.

How Long Should I Wear My Zenyum Clear Aligners Each Day?

Zenyum clear aligners should be worn for at least 20 hours a day, with each set typically worn for 10 days. If you’re unable to hit the recommended daily hours, simply extend by a day or two before moving on to the next set to keep your treatment on track.

How Many Months Until My Teeth Are Straight?

(T) My teeth before the treatment. (B) After 9 months of using Zenyum clear aligners.

My treatment took about 9 months, including refinements. For reference, average treatment timelines (excluding production time) are:

  • ZenyumClear™: ~7 months
  • ZenyumClear™ Plus: ~10 months
  • ZenyumClear™ Extra: Up to 15 months

What If You’re Not Happy With the Result?

If you’re unsatisfied with the outcome, Zenyum will provide additional aligner sets. However, you’ll need to return to the dental clinic for another 3D scan. I personally experienced this – one of my teeth hadn’t moved as much as I expected. Zenyum provided two extra aligner sets at no additional cost, which completely resolved the issue.

Bonus: Download the Zenyum App

Another thing I really loved was Zenyum’s app — super handy and easy to use, available for both iOS and Android. It made keeping track of my treatment a breeze, with features like:

1. Treatment preview video – see how your teeth will gradually shift at each stage.
2. Aligner timer – get reminders of how many hours and days are left until your next set.
3. Progress tracking – upload photos to monitor your smile’s transformation.
4. In-app support chat – reach Zenyum’s friendly customer service anytime.

Post-Treatment: Don’t Skip Retainers

Once your treatment is complete, it is essential to wear your retainers to keep your teeth in their new position. And while you’re at it, consider a polishing, scaling, or whitening session to complete your smile makeover!

Conclusion: I Highly Recommend Zenyum Clear Aligners

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my Zenyum clear aligners experience. For the price I paid, the process, support, and final result felt like great value – especially if you’re looking for a more comfortable and discreet alternative to traditional braces. If you’re considering straightening your teeth and want something practical and affordable, Zenyum is definitely worth exploring.

I hope this Zenyum clear aligners review has been helpful! Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions.
