Famous for its white sand beaches and stunning sunsets, Boracay offers more than just postcard-perfect views.

With more than 7,000 islands in the Philippines, Boracay easily claims its spot as one of the country’s best destinations. Its powdery white sand beaches and postcard-worthy sunsets make it a favourite among locals and international travellers alike.

Boracay, or “Bora” as some Filipinos like to call it, is divided into three stations — each with its own distinct vibe and atmosphere. Station 1 is all about upscale resorts, Station 2 is the buzzing heart of the island where everything happens, while Station 3 is more laid-back and budget-friendly. The best part? There are no real boundaries, so hopping between stations is very easy.

Set sail on Boracay’s turquoise waters and watch the sun sink into the horizon. The fun doesn’t stop there: enjoy live DJ music, take a quick swim, try stand-up paddleboarding, snorkel, or just relax on deck before the night begins. This is one sunset experience you won’t forget.

6. Enjoy Boracay’s night scene

Boracay truly comes alive after dark, with a mix of lively clubs and laid-back bars. Dance the night away with friends, meet fellow travellers, or unwind at a chill lounge if you prefer a more relaxed vibe. Whatever your style, Boracay’s nightlife is full of energy and excitement.

Location: Most bars and clubs are in Station 2.

7. Try authentic Filipino food

Ditch the usual pasta and Western dishes, and dive into authentic Filipino flavours instead. From sweet to sour and everything in between, Pinoy cuisine is packed with savoury and bold taste. My personal favourites? Adobo, Kare-Kare, and Lechon Kawali.

Location: There are restaurants all over the island that serve Pinoy food.

8. Shop for souvenirs (or essentials)

Looking for souvenirs or beach essentials? Wander through D’Mall, the open-air spot between Stations 1 and 2, or check out CityMall for a modern, air-conditioned option. You’ll also find plenty of small shops along the beach, perfect for unique finds, and a little friendly bargaining while you’re at it.

Location: The best souvenir shops are in Station 2.

9. Admire the sunset from shore

Not up for a cruise? Or just craving a relaxed moment? You can still soak in Boracay’s mesmerising sunset from the shore anywhere on the island. Sit on the powdery white sand, listen to the gentle waves, and people-watch as the sky shifts through shades of orange and pink.

10. Stay in a cozy hotel

Of course, after a full day of island fun, you can also just relax at your hotel if you want some alone time. Boracay offers plenty of options, from budget stays to luxurious 5-star resorts. Pro tip: For a lively vibe, pick a beachfront hotel in Station 2. If you prefer peace and quiet, Stations 1 or 3 are ideal.

With this handy list, you’re all set to make the most of Boracay’s sun, sand, and sea. Which activity are you most excited to try first?
